Facial Plastic Surgery, a Tribute Facial Beauty

Today, we live in a culture totally youth-oriented. Aspiration to get younger, healthier and beautiful (or handsome) is growing. Face is the most remarkable feature of a human body. We know someone by face as much as we know by one's name and fame. But with age we loose the youthfulness and face is the striking human future that shows our loss in terms of health and beauty, by developing loose skins,...

Fountain of Youth

Linda White Dove

You have probably seen or met them; those people who have a certain rosy glow and expression of youth regardless of their actual age. Time just seems to bring out the beauty in them; they do not seem to age like other people. How do they do it?!

Beyond genetics, healthy diet and exercise helps keep people looking and feeling youthful. However, you have probably heard of or met someone who breaks all the "rules" and eats poorly, smokes lots of cigars, lives a party life, etc. and still manages to stay youthful without medical intervention (plastic surgery).

Youthfulness is a state of mind resulting in a state of body. Energy medicine teaches that as we interact with the world around us, we develop perceptions of ourselves which then manifest in our physical bodies. Chemical medicine (what many call modern medicine) and the fields of scientific study related to chemical medicine (for example medical research), have discovered and work with the fact that health concerns and aging are associated with changes in the body that have been measured and well documented in scientific and medical journals and even covered on television news broadcasts and in print media. Chemical medicine seeks to understand and treat health concerns (including aging) by focusing on the bodily changes as the source of the aging process rather than just a symptom of the aging process. Energy medicine teaches us that our bodies respond to our thoughts and the physical changes studied by medical research are the result of our perceptions about ourselves. Just as our self perceptions can create physical changes that make us age rapidly, our self perceptions can be changed so that physical changes we call the aging process can be reversed, slowed down or perhaps delayed for a very long time. We have the ability to live in unlimited ways depending upon our ability to have an unlimited mind.

The fountain of youth may be some life giving fountain somewhere, or a pleasurable daydream myth. However, I tend to think it is a state of mind that is open, flowing and abundant in fertile possibility as you perceive yourself and the world around you with flexibility, fluidity and creativity. This way of living abundantly in the world results in a body that is flexible, nourished and ever creative with youthful vitality and imagination, the way your body is meant to be because your mind is meant to be open to the full potential of life (the divine) which is infinite in what it has to offer.

The secret to living in this way is trust. Everyone has had difficult experiences in life, resulting in fear, hurt, anger, etc. If you think about those difficult experiences, you probably still have some thoughts about the person, people or situation involved and you can probably sense the emotions in your body somewhere. Each time you have difficult experiences, a part of you holds that experience as part of how you live in the world and that influences how you respond in other situations that might be similar. Over time our minds perceive the world in specific ways and our bodies respond to our perceptions by forming the chemical changes in the medical journals resulting in the aging of the body and other health concerns. Living youthfully requires a willingness to change our responses to challenging situations by opening our minds and our hearts to new possibilities even if we do not know what these are or where it will lead us. This requires a lot of trust in the unknown but it is totally worth it.

Youthfulness is a state of mind resulting in very real, noticeable states of body. More Than Facial Exercise. . . Facialbuilding!

How did you get started in FlexEffect? I began teaching Facial Exercise in 1976. At that time, Isometrics were the only form of facial training known to the public. A year later, still teaching Facial Isometrics, I became interested in weightlifting and soon after stepped into competitive bodybuilding. This move called for a marked reduction in body fat. Consequently, this loss of fat had an aging effect on my face. As a Facial Trainer this was not an acceptable trade-off! I had no intention of giving up bodybuilding, but determined to remedy my dilemma. On a hunch that resistance training...
